Sharehouse is a Christian non-profit organization that believes in working with our local community to impact the lives of students and their families. As an organization, we are firmly committed to the basic, orthodox truths of the Christian faith as demonstrated in our Statement of Faith (see attachment). We recognize that not all volunteers will fully embrace and agree with these Christian truths, but we do ask all of our volunteers to respect our organization’s convictions and commit to not undermine them.

We believe the 66 books of the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church.

I understand that I will not be allowed to begin volunteer or work at Sharehouse until a criminal background check has been completed.

I do hereby authorize the Sharehouse Youth Café & Community to perform a background check of my personal history. I understand that by signing this document, authorization is given to conduct a background check on me while I continue to serve or work at Sharehouse. Background information will be reviewed by the Sharehouse Executive Director and kept in a secure and confidential file in the office. I have the right to review any information received, and to review such information.

Your signature on this form confirms your understanding and agreement to the information outlined above. And as receipt of notice that in the event allegation of criminal or sexual misconduct arise regarding your conduct while you serve/work at Sharehouse, the organization will fully cooperate with any ensuing investigation and or prosecution.
